Model: Monte Carlo
Transmission: 350 3 Speed Turbo
Description:Up for sale is a 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a 350 Chevy V8 small block, 5.7L engine with 91,132 original miles. The transmission is a 350 3 speed turbo. This vehicle was a gift to my father for his birthday ten years (June 2007) ago. When I purchased it, cosmetically I had the two front seats and headliner reupholstered, the entire car repainted, a new vinyl top placed on it, and the rims (which are original) repainted. Mechanically I had the cylinder heads re-milled (valves cut, seals, new lifters, polished, and seats), installed a refurbished steering gear box, installed a double roller timing chain, installed a new camshaft. Of course, this was all done in the early part of 2007 however, the car has been sitting since the summer of 2009. My father got sick and parked it and hasn’t gotten back in it. It sat in the driveway hallway covered up, hence the rust under the vinyl top and in certain areas. Being down here near the Gulf of Mexico isn’t vehicle friendly. I would like to sell this classic vehicle so please don’t expect it to be simply given away. I am the title owner and have it in hand. It’s an Oklahoma title due to me being in the military and that’s where I purchased it. Keep in mind this car is over forty years old so there are some flaws. To my knowledge the metal in certain spots would need to be cut and replaced with either metal or fiberglass, along with some mechanical work (basic maintenance type things). The car is running (I drive it around the block). If you shall decide to purchase it, I would place it on a trailer and thoroughly go through everything prior to jumping on 288, 59, 610, I-10, Beltway 8 or any fast-paced roadway. As I said it’s been sitting here for seven years straight.
